SA Sea Rescue Squadron celebrates 50 years

The SA Sea Rescue Squadron will celebrate 50 years of community service with an exciting event on Saturday 24 April 2010.

A flotilla of boats, led by a spectacular 40 foot Riviera, will cross the Gulf St Vincent from the Adelaide Shores boat launch facility at West Beach to Edithburgh on the morning of Saturday 24 April, escorted by the SA Sea Rescue Squadron.

This is a fantastic opportunity for owners of boats 5.45 metres or longer to make this 100 nautical mile round trip in a safe and social environment.

Spectators are invited to Adelaide Shores to witness the fleet set off and enjoy breakfast while Michael Keelan from FIVEaa radio station presents his Weekend program live on-site.

Adelaide Shores is proud to support the SA Sea Rescue Squadron and its 50 year celebration.
